-those bright lights on mercedes and other rich people cars... i cant stand them. they piss me off... its like, "oh im rich and i drive an expensive car with expensive lights that blind all the po'folk on the street. mwhahaha." dammit!
-songs on the radio: they've gotta start playing more songs. if i hear christina aguilera's "beautiful" song ONE MORE TIME, im gonna yell...
-not really a grip but interesting fact... on monday i drove on 6 different freeways. (that's la for you)... took the 10e to 71s... then the 71n to 60w to 5s to 5n... then 91e to 60e to 71s... wow... lots of freeways. i was hella gettin' lost too.

so ive been home for about 2 weeks now. this break has really flown by... it's one week less than last year right? weird, this year it feels too short, last year it felt too long... i guess us college students are never satisfied. anyhoo... ive been in la for most of my break. havent really done much. i went back to sd last week to pick my sister up cuz sdsu finished a week later than us. it was raining quite a bit. i hate the rain the same way that cats hate water... blah! i finished most of my christmas shopping before christmas eve... i didnt get much this year... not enough funds to. roomies and i did a christmas exchange. it was pretty fun actually. even though we all asked for very specific things. haha. i got a cool fleece blanket from reggie... which i love because ive been wanting my own portable blanket that i can use in the living room cuz it's just kinda weird when i bring out my comforter into the living room, it's like im moving everything out of my room... haha. plus, adam has a nice one that ive been wanting to steal from him. haha. =) well now i dont have to. hehe. and i got a really cool heater thing from david. i didnt ask for it so it was a nice surprise. haha i guess i really do complain about how cold it is in my room.... haha. i know i complain a bit, but yeah... my room is really cold. dunno why... still havent figured it out. but now with my cool blanket and my cool heater, jasmine will be nice and toasty in her freezer room. alright!!! wooo hooo!!!

haha. i went to knott's on monday with my bro, sis and cousins. it was fun but it was cold. went on that new ride.. .xcelerator.. it was crazy. 0 to 80mph in like 2 seconds. insane i tell you but it was fun. it was my first time to knott's too. it's alright. not that big. not that many rides... and a little more kiddie than magic. but yeah it was fun.

hung out with my cousins this christmas. my aunt and uncle went to hong kong so instead of going to their house which we've done for the past 10 years, we celebrated christmas at my house. it didnt feel like christmas. but yeah, picked them up. had lunch. came back here, took pictures... visited gramma at rose hills (it was so festive there... so many flowers and some people even had fully decorated christmas trees... crazy)... came back... and yeah hung out. did some after christmas sale shopping. victoria's secret is having their annual bra sale... =) woo hoo. semi annual sale is coming up too. haha i live for these sales. f'real. =) yesterday adam came by the house. it was nice. havent seen him in two weeks. it always feels so long when i dont see adam... i miss him so much and we dont do "long distance" very well. he's on his way to alberqueque to denver... a road trip with his friends to go visit his roommate, thomas in denver. so yeah... he drove down from sf to la cuz they're all taking the train from la. so he dropped by. i got to finally give him his xmas gift. i made him a video... not a kinky one.... a "documentary" of adam and jasmine. i just filmed different places that had meaning to us like where we met and stuff like that. =) haha. and i got him a sweater. he always looks so good in his sweaters. mmm mmm... he got me a gold chain which i thought was very thoughtful because now i can wear my jade cross again. i havent worn in it in such a long time. and he got me some cool different colored sharpies. those rock. =) yay for sharpies. but yeah, i was just happy to see him. it's funny how you dont see people in awhile and when you see them again, they look a little different from what you remember. like, for example, (not that i think adam is fat or anything) but seeing him yesterday, he looked a little skinnier than usual... maybe cuz he got a haircut (finally) but yeah... the same adorable smile though. sigh. okay yeah... enough about adam. i miss him already though. one more week... one more week. OH and he found out about his d.c. internship. he got in. yay. (that's a very sarcastic yay)... i knew when he applied in november that he would get it... so i wasn't looking forward to finding out that he really got in.. .just cuz that means he'll be gone all summer in d.c. FAR FAR away... argh. but i am happy for him.

okay. no more for now. i havent been on the internet for so long. i need to spend my time studying for the msat's and gre's .... damn grad school stuff. =P blah. happy holidays my fellow readers...

 
OH.. on a lighter note. today's adam and i's 8th month anniversary. im hoping that my nerdy ol' boyfriend will stop studying and come see me soon... and be lazy like me. =) oh i can't wait til this week is over with... sigh.

 
so it's finals week. why am i blogging...
ANSWER: it is yet ANOTHEr way i can NOT study... =)

ive been so tired lately. honestly, it might just be cuz im getting TOO much sleep. haha. well not really but ive been taking naps. =T so it's finals week and honestly it doesnt feel like it cuz maybe im just apathetic to the whole final test taking shindig... f'real. =) argh. but yeah im only 1/2 way done and maybe im not caring too much about finals cuz after this week i'll be happily studying for gre's and msat's which is gonna cost me a whopppin' $372 altogether. why oh why... so yeah. here i am.. NOT studying like i haven't been since my 8am final this morning. but yes i will get a'movin' on my studyin'... cuz that is what studious UCSD heads do here in la jolla... we just study all the time. what are "parties" ... what is "fun"??? we dont know cuz there aint none here! hehe

okay grip time:
-so i guess we all know that jasmine is from LA. ... where ONCE AGAIN, driving is truly about SURVIVAL... and trust me, you dont know it until you've been there... so i guess i'm somewhat known for my road rage-ish tendencies... =) who me?? lil ol innocent jasmine??? alright yes... i suffer from a tad bit of road rage. im not as crazy as some other people. i dont often give the beautiful "finger" or anything... more subtle ways of road rage... like when someone tailgates you even though you're going over 80... and when they change lanes to cut you off, you just "all of a sudden' decide to drive a little faster so that punk can't cut you off.. mwhahaha... =) i think ive calmed down quite a bit since i first started driving... it's mostly adam's influence. he's SOOOO nice when he drives. just lets people cut him off... just drives a good speed of 70-75... doesn't react very passionately or anything. honestly, he's SO damn nice, it's truly sick sometimes. haha. =) well only to me anyway. but yes, i have calmed down a lot... i try not to drive over 75 if i can help it (tee hee)... and i only get up into higher speeds when i am in a rush... which does happen a lot, but yes i HAVE gotten better. so now.. my grips... i cannot stand people who wait til the last second to cut you off to make a left or right turn... like they just all of sudden go like, OH there's my turn, whooosh... i dont care that other people have to brake out of nowhere to let me go... BAH to you! That's happened a couple of times to me this week... pissed me off. hmm... i'm sorry but i really people that drive slower than 70 in the fast lane.. that is why they call it the FAST lane people!!! oh... i also hate it when people cut you off at the like the last second to get onto the freeway or in UCSD's case, cut you off to get to regents cuz there's only one lane. it just urks me because nice people (like MYSELF) wait in the long ass line like everyone else, and then there are those meanies who just drive up to the last point and cut off all the patient waiters like myself. now that just urks me... especially since it's early in the morning and jasmine is NOT a morning person. =) finally, i cannot stand it when people just cross the street or parking lots like there's no such things as car that can HIT them... and i'm sorry, but where i live in LA (san gabriel valley)... all Asian people there act like they own the road. like OH, i can just cross the street in front of this speeding car that is going right towards me because I OWN the world and everyone has to stop for me... i hate okay really really dislike those people... i know i know, pedestrians have the right of way, but i dont think it should count when they dont even look "both ways before they cross the street"... really! c'mon now.. i know there are people LIKE MYSELF who at least wait til it's clear or wait for the driver to give me some sort of signal that i can cross in front of their 1-2 ton car/truck/SUV... i, unlike other people, choose not to be road kill...

okay. im cranky. yes... i am. okay enough. no more. studying it is... damn you finals. damn it all...

 
alright.. so i havent blogged. again. and my last blog didnt show up cuz something was wrong with my template file... so i lost all the thingys ive done to this page. o well...

i have so much to write, but i think i'll share about my vegas trip last month on veteran's day weekend. =) it was adam's roommate's Cause's 21st birthday. me, adam, cause, his gf tracy, adam's other roommate phil, mike, omid, stephanie and tani all went... we left on friday. it was raining like a mother that day. poor adam had to drive through it =( we played a lot of car games... ate at in "n" out in victorville and then drove to vegas... we stayed at the travelodge next to circus circus. rested a little, took a little nap... got up and then got ready to go clubbin'. the girls looked real nice... =) cuties. oh and i stayed in the room with adam, phil, omid, and mike. lucky me. boys... sigh. anyhoo... they're all talking about how they're gonna meet the girls and hook up and ish... haha. it was real windy in vegas though... like push-you-over windy. madness. we took a cab to the palm's and went to Rain (where the Real World worked this season)... it was pretty cool. adam and i had dinner at this cute mexican restaurant. the waitress called me "little mama" ... haha (it'll make sense later)... so we went to the club and it was nice inside. the dance floor was hella small though. not much space to walk around or sit down either. but what was cool was fire would spit out from the light thingy above the dance floor every so often. =) i had a fun night with adam... however, from the perspective of the guys, there were more guys than girls at the club and it sucked. =) haha. next day... slept in til about noon. ate buffet at rio at like 3... it was good. =) came out and it was dark again. it was really trippy. like whoa... haha we didnt get to see much sun today. =) went back to the hotel... took a nap/watched osmosis jones (which was surprisingly educational... haha) got ready to go clubbing again. went to the hard rock to get drunk. played some slots... i had a lot of fun playing "risque business" where if you got 3 or more strippers in a row, they'd do a strip tease for you. hahaha. mike and i were playing ... haha it was hilarious. so yeah i had like 3 drinks. not many but i was a little buzzy. we headed over to studio 54 at mgm. now THAT was a club... three levels. lots of dance floor space. lots of sitting areas for aching feet... =) but yeah after i had one more drink, apparently, adam and i got a little freaky on the dance floor. haha. =) it was all fun though. at like 3am we left and went to get something to eat at the pink pony at circus circus. played some blackjack. went back.. slept. next day... ate at jack in the crack. walked around mandalay bay. drove back to sd. it was an awesome weekend. adam and i's first weekend away (well not alone, but close enough)... it was nice to get to know adam's friends a little better. =) yup... afterwards, a week later, we were all feeling a little sick. i wonder why...

-(so at this point, all the boys are treating me like one of the guys... y'know like they're not on their best behavior anymore. and they let out everything)
omid: i need to practice for tonight (starts humping the bed)
phil: man those girls last night were ugly... not only ugly, they were fat AND ugly
phil: there were so many guys there... man i wish i were gay
